There is so much great technology today available for travelers! If you’ve encountered a difficulty during travel – chances are, there’s an app for that!

These apps allow you to explore new places, navigate unfamiliar places, communicate easier with old friends and new, and more. Take a look at the list below for my favorite useful apps – and feel free to comment below if I left out any good ones!

Google Translate

Translating apps have come a long way in the last few years! While yes, they are still working on it, the best new feature with this one is the camera function. Snap a picture of a menu or a street sign in Spain and it will translate for you!

Google Duo

Anyone with a google account can get Google Duo – it syncs right up with your email and you can face talk with anyone from back home over Wi-Fi! This one is perfect for long trips where you’d like to see a familiar face.

Yelp

Find popular spots anywhere! Things to do, restaurants, clubs, and more await you in the city of your choice!

OpenRice

This is the Asian version of Yelp – perfect for a trip to Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and more! You can find things to do and places to visit easily!

WhatsApp

If you are looking to be particularly social on this trip, WhatsApp is a great way to stay connected without using . Plus, you’re highly likely to run into someone using it – WhatsApp has more than a billion users!

GateGuru

This one is free and fantastic – if you have a layover or get to an airport early, GateGuru can give you information on shops, restaurants, and other amenities in most major airports!

Feel free to give me a call if you’re looking at booking a trip soon, I am always happy to help and answer any questions you may have along the way!
